How can I tell if a diamond ring is real?

I have somebody wanting to sell me an old wedding ring.

I know there are links online to tell with all kinds of tests etc.
This is going to have to be field tests like something I can do while standing there.

Is there something I can do? (I don’t have a loop…)

if you have the diamond ring or your allowed to see it heres what you do.
you blow on the ring make it a little “huh” so like you blwo out heat? and the stone will fog up. with a real diamond the fog will clear up almost immediately almost before you have a chance to look at it. with a fake stone it will linger a bit and slowly clear up.
best of luck! we tried this on a ring my mom found. turns out it was real! we even took it to a jewelers to make sure!
