Diamond Rings User Questions
Should I return the diamond rings I bought?
I bought 2 diamond rings on sale at Macys. I am a shopper and can’t resist a deal. I bought them whereby I can pay them off in 24 months which will come to $ 300 A month. I can swing it but I am so guilty keeping the rings. I have two days to decide whether to bring them back. I have very bad depression and therefore I have a problem making decisions. A part of me wants to keep the rings, escpecially since I paid a third of what they were originally priced at. I just am very worried that after the month I can’t return them and then I have this payment for the next 2 years. What should I do? I just can’t make a decision and I have no one to ask. I am so torn. I am having a hard time returning them although I probably will feel relieved if I do. The other problem is that I am unhappy in my marriage and am worried if anything happens down the road and I need the money, I will have this payment to deal with. Any suggestions is appreciated. I know this sounds silly but I just can’t make a decision. Thanks.

Hey ,
You have already asked this. You need to get some therapy if you can’t make any decisions yourself, are buying things you don’t need to make you happy and are unhappy in your marriage.

Can I wear 2 diamond rings on 1 finger if there is overlap a bit or might they damage/scratch etc. the other?
Ok, so I have 2 diamond rings, one wedding band, simple and one engagement ring with a larger heart in the middle. In catalogues you often see these bridal sets placed on top of each other as if on one finger, that is how I want to wear them, stacked, I heard though that this might be bad for the rings as the one that is on top, and overlaps the band will cause scratches etc, and that generally it is no good idea to wear to rings on one finger. Is this true?

Hey ,
Return them. I would honestly not want a payment for two years on something that you can’t even take with you when you die. I like to think about the things in life that are the most important, like family and friends. I’ve been through a depression, and trust me it can get bad. But there will always be hope. It doesn’t matter if it’s a therapist or your best friend, talk to someone. I used to buy things to fill the empty part of my heart during my depression. Trust me, take them back. Once you’re done with the depression, that lingering payment remains. It’s like salt in your wounds every time you pay it. Trust me it’s not worth it. A good deal or a bad deal. It’s really stuff that you don’t need to make you happy. Best of luck.

What are some alternatives to diamond rings?
I’ve been thinking that if/when I get married, I wouldn’t want a diamond ring. For a couple reasons:
1. They’re obviously really common. I want something different; unique.
2. I’m not one to like having some one spend a fortune for me.
3. Diamonds have no color, sure they “reflect all colors” but I think you get my point, so just because they “last forever” isn’t reason enough for me to have one. I’m a decently simple girl.
I told my boyfriend that I would want some thing like my birth stone, emerald, but he says that’s not expensive enough & he wants to spend a lot for me.
& honestly, I know nothing about jewelry & precious stones.
So I want to know what other precious stones there are that would be decently priced & a beautiful color. (preferably blue, my favorite color)
I know they have colored diamonds, but I want to look into other stuff.
Thanks!!
