You shouldn’t be piercing eachother, whether you think you cleaned it or not. It was not completely sterilized unless you have an autoclave. I’m not sure what kind of needle you used, but it’s all good. If you bought it pre-sterilized online then that’s good. But don’t be piercing eachother, go get it done professionally.
For now, do sea salt soaks twice a day for a month or so. You should put stainless steel earrings in, it’s best for healing piercings. Just remember to keep it clean.

Is there such a thing as dipping cheap earring posts in gold or some other hypoallergenic silver/gold?
My ears are pretty sensitive to cheap earrings probably because of the nickel or mixture of metals that compile the earring posts. I have a favorite pair of cheap earrings from Claires and they do not irritate my ears if I just put them on in the morning and remove them at night, but if I leave them in for a few days including overnight; they start to itch and begin to pus a bit. I know that is an allergic reaction but I’ve tried to search for a higher quality earring that looks similar to the cheap ones but they are nowhere to be found. Is there such a thing where you can bring in cheap earrings and have the posts coated or dipped in white or yellow gold to make them more comfortable for wearing???? Did anyone have this done before and where can they be done at (jewelry store, etc?)? Any insight will help and thanks in advanced!

Everytime I put earrings on, my ears get all scabby and infected! I even tried 14 carrot gold… no help!!?
I have had my ears peirced since i was a BABY! This NEVER used to happen to me. But all of a sudden, after an hour of wearing earing, they turn all red and scabby and infected! I even wear 14 carrot gold, not the crapy knid PLUS I bought Ear Care stuff at Claire’s and put it on every night before bed. None of this helps clear up my ear. Do you know what I can do to start wearing earings again????? please help!!

You should keep them out for a while and let your ears heal. See a physician.You probably need some that are hypo- allergenic. ( ya know the kind for sensitive ears) Some even have hypo allergenic posts.
