i kept mine out for about a year then started wearing them again only if you don’t wear them for a long time a thin layer of skin forms over the hole (which happened to me) and just put the ear ring in and you have to pop the skin it doesn’t hurt at all thou!

I thought you had to leave the ones they were pierced with in for 6 weeks, but then you could use a different earring w/ a post backing for 6 months.
That’s what I was told when I got my 2nd ear piercings at Claire’s. So basically, you keep them in for 6 months.
