“As Is” Sterling Blue Kingman Turquoise Enhanc-er w/Necklace

A true blue beauty has been unearthed. Made entirely of striking blue turquoise gemstones pulled from the famed Kingman mine in Arizona, this enhancer with coordinating torsade necklace isn’t just beautiful–it’s a bold statement-maker that’s also remarkably versatile. An exciting discovery. Located in the Cerbat Mountains, the Kingman mine is one of three prehistoric mining sites in Arizona, first mined by Native Americans. The nuggets from Kingman are considered the industry standard–exceptional, top-quality blue and green beauties with black matrix. The turquoise in this particular design is extra special, a vivid teal-blue color found in a recently opened vein of the mine. The hue hasn’t been found for over 30 years, making the turquoise used in this necklace–and the necklace itself–particularly noteworthy. Fabulous versatility. The enhancer, showcasing a pear-shaped blue Kingman turquoise cabochon inside a sterling silver and turquoise cabochon-detailed frame, looks beautiful clipped onto the toggle and worn in the front. You can also wear the turquoise torsade solo, or try the enhancer on other necklaces in your jewelry wardrobe–it’s like getting three turquoise styles in one great piece. Treat yourself. For such a remarkable style and incredible value, this statement necklace is one conversation-starter you surely won’t want to pass up. See J147916. Can you please tell me which is the best beading wire/thread for making fresh water pearl necklaces?

I dont like a stiff look, I need something durable and strong!

Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:

Hey ABC,
Silk is considered one the best. Nylon is also good. But there are some new materials available that beaders have been experimenting with.

Check out this page on Pearl-Guide.com. It discusses several types of thread.
