How much would it cost to get a ruby ring reset?

I have a ring with a 3x5mm ruby set in 14k yellow gold. I don’t like the style of the band, and I don’t wear yellow gold. I’m thinking about getting it reset into a white gold band, and maybe adding two tiny diamonds from a pair of earrings that I don’t wear very often. I think it would make a much nicer ring, but what would the price range for this be?

Here in Belgium/ Europe you would pay 10€ to set the ruby if it is a prong setting a bezel setting would cost 15€ for the 2 small diamonds I would use prong setting if they are not to small if smaller than 2mm you could set them with some beads (bead setting) in the ring shank.

Well, if you wanted a tattoo, you wouldn’t need your mom’s permission because you’d have to be 18 anyway.

Uh… it depends on the person. I’ve had mine for 4 months and it’s still really sore and not healed at all. It usually takes 6 months to a year. But, obviously it could always be either longer or shorter than that.

If I go to James Avery or other jewelery stores how long does it take after purchase to actually receive your fitted ring? Also what if you add an engraving? Just need some estimates.
