How can I soften my leather sandals?

Greetings. I have a pair of leather sandals that I bought a few years ago. However, I hardly wear them because they give me blisters. The leather is too hard and stiff and it rubs against sensitive areas of skin (the tops of my feet) and it gives me blisters.

I think if I soften the leather, this might help. What can I use to soften the leather of my sandals?

Does being barefoot and or wearing sandals all day in summer cause you to feel hotter at the end of day?

I spent all day yesterday with no socks walking around barefoot and wearing flip flops to go do chores. The thing I noticed though is that at the end of the day I sort of felt hot because I could not create a new level of coolness. On a day when I have worn shoes and socks all day I can create a new level of coolness when the shoes and socks are removed.

Nope, wearing socks does. Your body looses the most heat in two places, and that’s your head and feet. So having your feet uncovered will cool you much faster. So it shouldn’t make you feel hotter.

Me and couple of friends are going to dine in a formal fine dining restaurant and being a tomboy, im not comfortable wearing heels >.<

but I do have flat shoes and everything but im thinking of wearing my gladiator sandals as it looks great with the dress.Is it appropriate?
