Why do Californians wear sandals and flip flops in the rain?
Maybe it’s just a southern Cal thing, but just something I noticed today as it was a little rainy in my area. Not everyone obviously, but definitely saw plenty of sandals & flip flops. People here don’t seem well prepared for anything but warm weather.

Am I suppose to remove the plastic around the toe piece on my new thong-style leather sandals?
There is a tube of clear plastic around the part of the thong that goes between the big toe and the first small toe. I didn’t know if I should remove it or not. I wore them for the first and only time so far with the tube in place. It was very uncomfortable. Please advise. Thank you.

What’s the best way to clean your Sanuk sandals?
I have a pair of Vagabond and they are getting dirty from frequent use. I want to clean them but I’m not sure how. The upper is of a stretch fabric, and the sole is rubber. Can I just drop it in the washing machine? Or do I hand wash it instead?
