How could I make my dress more formal?
I’m going to a semi-formal prom in April, but I don’t have the money to spend on a new dress. I need ways to make a casual dress that I already have more formal. It’s a Christian prom, so it needs to be modest. I have to be covered up down to my knees, and I can’t show any cleavage. The dress I have is strapless, so I need a way to cover up on top. Get a cute little cropped sweater to put over your shoulders. Even if parts of the low-cut dress are still showing, the sweater (short sleeves probably) will make it seem very modest. If the dress doesn’t reach down to your knees, wear nude tights (not leggings). Get some heels (not too high – it seems the dress code has to be modest) to make it look more dressy, and get a nice, sparkly clutch. Wear some chain necklaces and a big ring to dress it up.
