Digital Camera User Questions
What is a good digital camera that comes with a remote control?
I make beauty YouTube videos and I am in the market for a new digital camera.
It must have good video quality and lots of memory.
I’d really like one with a remote for easier video pausing/stopping/starting etc.
Under $ 200 is a must!

Hey Abby L,
The only one that I could find was I small camera – supposed to be used as a camera to put on your helmet. It includes a remote. Here is the link, but be warned that the video is not that great quality:

The cheapest HD camcorder (without a remote) I could find was this one:

What is a good digital camera setting to use for a concert?
I have a Panasonic Lumix dmc-fs3 and will be attending an indoor concert at a bar at 7:30 PM in a few days. (Cameras are allowed)
I’m not sure where I will be standing because it is general admission, but what setting would be best to use to get past all of the pesky lighting that fogs up pictures? It has Intelligent Auto but i’m not sure if that would be best in the setting. Thanks if you can help!

Hey Elise,
Unless you’re close to the stage, a flash isn’t going to be much of a help so turn that off.
Crank it to the highest ISO. It’s going to be noisy as hell but that’s the only way you’re going to get even slightly sharp pictures.
If you can control the aperture in manual mode, open it up all the way (smallest number).
See how that works. If it’s still too dark for a decent exposure, force it to about 1/60 second shutter speed and then you’ll just have to mess with it and boost the exposure after you’ve downloaded the pics at home.

What is the best digital camera on the market now?

Hey Olivia,
I would say that depends on two things – your definition of “best” and your budget.
I always suggest an SLR as the best but if you can’t afford that, there’s probably another best.
You can do research here to find your “best”. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/

What is a good digital camera for taking Alaskan wildlife photos?
We are looking to purchase a digital camera to use in taking photographs of wildlife on our Alaskan vacation this summer. We currently have point and shoot digital cameras but are thinking we should probably get a digital SLR with a telephoto lens. Ease of use would be helpful as we would be novices with this type of camera. Cost is not really an issue as we are looking at this as a once in a lifetime trip and want to make sure we have photos to preserve it. There is no specialty camera store anywhere near where we live so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
