If she’s throwing a fit, then you shouldn’t force her to wear them. What I would do if I just HAD to put them on her, wait until she’s asleep. Let her sleep for a while before you go in there or she’ll wake up too easy. Then put them in carefully and quietly, and she won’t notice. That’s what my mom did when I was a baby. Good luck.
