What digital camera should my family get?
My Mum’s thinking about getting a digital camera but we don’t know that much about them. It would be preferable if:
- It had at least 6 megapixels
- It was quite small
- It was under 100 pounds.
Also if filmed aswell that would be really good.

Theres a camera that a few people at my school have that makes one color really pop in the picture and leaves everything else black and white. What camera does this and how do you turn on the effect? thanks.

I believe you’re talking about the color accent feature.
You could post process and make your photo looks like that in your computer, but if you want a camera to do it straight for you, my only experience is with Canon Ixus series compact camera. I only used one model but I’m sure they all have the function.
Not too sure about other brands.

In my opinion, you are spending so much money on this day, that it is really worth the extra cost to document and preserve the memories as best as possible in photographs. With a regular digital camera you miss out on the sharpness, focus and proper lighting that a professional camera can capture. Of course, this is assuming you are using a professional photographer, which I also highly recommend. Using an amature photographer can lead to missed important moments, interruptions so that moments they missed can be recaptured and eventaully your overall disappointment with thier work and regret over not spending the extra money for a proper photographer.
