How can I find out which remote controls are compatible with my DVD player?
My dog chewed up the remote controller that came with our Panasonic DVD/VCR player (model PV-D4752). So since I need to buy a new one anyhow, I’d like to find one that actually works on the TV AND the DVD player.
In the past, universal remotes that worked on our TV (early 1990′s model) and our old VCR would not work with our DVD player, nor would the DVD remote control the TV.
How can I find out which remotes will be compatible with both?
Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:
Hey philasophos01,
Go to any place that sells aftermarket remotes and most have programable ones. Look on the packaging for your Panasonic brand. (Usually a list on the back) If it’s listed one of the program codes will work for your DVD player. Another option is to contact Panasonic themselves for a replacement, but it will probally be pricy. However some after market remotes don’t offer all the features that the manufactur’s does.

Hey ,
Read the manuals carefully to find out what each unit requires in order to utilize DTS.
One thing is certain: There must be a digital connection,
either coaxial or optical, between the two units.

How do I get help on issues with a 2003 Ford Expedition DVD player?
My DVD player in my 03 expedition only plays about 1 out of 5 DVD’s. These are NOT burned discs by the way. These are store bought movies. It trys and trys to read but times out saying “cannot read disc” or “bad disc”. We have tried every setting on the player and multiple DVD’s with not luck.
Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:
Hey kait35,
Try calling the dealer and see if that is a common problem, if so, they’ll probably fix it for free or cheap, if not, they can probably fix it anyway.

How do I connect my new HDTV to my DVD player if my DVD player?
How do I connect my new HDTV to my DVD player if my DVD player doesn’t have a HDMI spot to plug the HDMI cable into? It would be helpful if I knew if there was a type of adapter that I needed to use to complete the task.
Thanks!
Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:
Hey Patti Boyd,
are you positive that there isnt an HDMI spot? I recently purchased an HDTV and was thinking there wasn’t such a plug, but found it after lifting a cover that was over it. Maybe check the manual again if you’re unsure.
