What are some alternatives to diamond rings?
I’ve been thinking that if/when I get married, I wouldn’t want a diamond ring. For a couple reasons:
1. They’re obviously really common. I want something different; unique.
2. I’m not one to like having some one spend a fortune for me.
3. Diamonds have no color, sure they “reflect all colors” but I think you get my point, so just because they “last forever” isn’t reason enough for me to have one. I’m a decently simple girl.
I told my boyfriend that I would want some thing like my birth stone, emerald, but he says that’s not expensive enough & he wants to spend a lot for me.
& honestly, I know nothing about jewelry & precious stones.
So I want to know what other precious stones there are that would be decently priced & a beautiful color. (preferably blue, my favorite color)
I know they have colored diamonds, but I want to look into other stuff.

What can I clean my white gold/diamond ring with?
Without ruining the white gold or the diamonds (if possible) or without taking the rhodium off of the band (which will make it yellow.) I usually take it to the place it was purchased, but is there any solution I can use to clean it in between visits? Thanks.
