How do I burn an AVI movie file to DVD so that it can play on a DVD player?

What tools do you need to play PS2 or any other system like that in the car on a DVD player?
I have always wanted to know this. I’ve seen many people say they’ve done it before, but I’ve always failed because there is no electrical outlet in the car.

Get a power inverter or wire it up straight to the battery. The power inverter is easy and can be found for less than 40 bucks for a cheap one at most places. All it does is plug into a cigarette lighter jack and provide an outlet like you would find in your house.

How do I change my home theater DVD player’s resolution from 480 to 1080?
I have a Samsung LCD TV and Samsung Home Theater system. I bought both a couple of years ago. The DVD player in the home theater system upconverts regular images to High Definition, but whenever I play a DVD, the screen says the resolution is 480. I have lost the manual and have no idea how to fix it so that it indeed upconverts the movie to the highest resolution possible. Can anyone out there help me?
