Digital Camera User Questions
What if you took pictures on your digital camera and there wasn’t an memory card in the camera?
What if you took pictures on your digital camera. However, there was no memory card in the slot at the time you took the pictures. Is there a way to upload them to your computer? Or are they stuck?
Two Questions:
How do I upload those photos to my computer?
Shouldn’t my camera tell me there wasn’t a memory card in there?
Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:
Hey ,
Some cameras have a small internal memory they can use, when there’s no card. You can connect the camera to a computer with a cable to get them.
Other cameras simply don’t save any pictures you take without a card. They should display some sort of message if you have no card, though–my own camera has a message on the screen and does not allow you to snap any pictures, so you immediately notice there’s no card.

What would be the best digital camera to buy to record concerts?
I wanted to buy a camera that would take decent videos of concerts. I want something thin enough to get through the security at the venues but that would recod really good video. Sound quality is the most important.
What would you recomend to get?
It doesnt have to be a Digital Camera…just anything that would do the trick.

Looking to purchase three cameras that students can use to take pictures for their middle school yearbook. They need to be easy to use, but not have too many settings to worry about.

I let my students use Canon and Olympus point and shoot cameras with about 7.1 megapixels and 3X zoom.

What SLR digital camera is recommended for a beginning photographer?
I’m interested in taking photos of nature – particularly wildlife. I’m looking for a high-end great quality camera, preferably below $ 1000. Any suggestions would be great! thanks!

Hey bitchplease,
You would be better to get a DSLR, that way you have more flexibility. You should get one that has manual as well as auto settings. All the well known brands like Canon, Nikon etc are good and with the wide angle lens it comes with it will cost about $ 800. Once you get more into it you can buy more lenses. The lens is the majority of the cost in photography not the camera.
Don’t forget to always get a filter to protect your lens they are inexpensive and will protect your expensive lens.
I like my Canon rebel xt2i for taking pictures like you want but it does much more then that.
Why not go to a photo show in your area to try out the different makes and models before you buy?

How can I adjust my digital camera to deal with bright patches of sunlight in forrest scene.?
I have an Olympus E-500 .What adjustments can I make so I don’t get bleached out areas where there is a sunlight patch in a forrest.
On auto focus it still can’t deal with sharp contrasts of sunlight and wooded shade on a sunny day.
Thanks for your ideas.

Hey JDH,
Try bracketing your photos for the best exposure. You can also try exposing your shot manually, and then adjusting your photos +/- to over/under expose the photo, play around with different exposures until you get what you want. As for the auto focus, use manual focus, that will solve that problem quickly.
