How do i take out my butterfly back earrings?

I got my ears pierced about 5-6 weeks ago and I want to take them out now, as they are healed and put a different pair of earrings in.

The problem is however i really cant get the earrings out of my ear.
Ive tried for hours twisting and pulling them, also got a friend to try, and they will not budge.
I had them pierced by a professional, who used a gun, and the back of the earrings are butterfly backs.

Anyone help?

When you first get your ears pierced what earrings can you chose from?

I want to gauge my ears but i know you have to peirce them first. I was wondering what choices for a guy would be good to make me not look stupid that i can get when i first pierce them. Im a metalhead, so i wear gory band shirts and black so keep tthat in mind when answering lol, i dont want a diamond. Thank you.

They always make u pic something like studs/diamonds but u dont want that and the only reason they want u to start off small is so it wont get infected but after 5~7 days take the earring out and Get them the way u want
