How do I know when I can take my earrings out?

I have had my ears pierced for 5 weeks and it will be 6 weeks this saturday (nov. 28, I believe) and I want to know how I will be able to know when i can change my earrings. Only when I start to rotate my earrings are they tender, and they are only tender for a split second.

The general rule is leave the studs in for 6 weeks. If it still hurts when you rotate them, give it an extra week. Once you take them out, wear small earrings at first then work up to bigger ones. All you do when you take them out is take the back off first then slowly pull the stud out then clean the hole with alcohol.
