Does wearing my pearl earrings in the tanning bed damage them?

I have a habit of never removing my Tahitian pearl stud earrings… Does wearing them in the shower or tanning bed cause damage to them? I am primarily concerned that tanning may cause them to yellow?

What type of metal earrings should I use for my ears?

I have sensitive ears and when i wear some earrings my ears get red and feel like they are burning. the only pair of earrings that don’t do that, that I can think of right now, are cheap fake pearls with a silver bar that I got from forever 21 or wet seal. I am getting my cartilage pierced and I want to know what metal I should get to prevent the risk of infection.
So, what metal do you think I should use?

If you have sensitive ears, I wouldn’t get your cartilage pierced, I have three holes in my right ear and two in the left because mine are sensitive, and the left third hold wouldn’t heal. Also, I had my cartilage pierced for a while and it never healed, was always red and weeping, and drained pus from time to time, after a few months I had to take it out. As far as earrings go, opt for the ones that are made of quality metals (stainless, gold, titanium are all good; silver can irritate because of tarnish). Don’t buy the cheap ones, they’re usually made of “pot metal”, an alloy of different cheap metals like copper, tin, brass.

How long should I wait before I take my starter earrings out?

I got my ears pierced about a month ago and I was just wondering, should I wait any longer before I take the starter earrings out.

When i got my ears pierced the lady told me to wait 6-8 weeks and when u take the earings out make sure u put some back in right away because i took mine out and then left it out over night and the holes closed up and my mom had to reopen the holes in my ears and force the earings right back in.(it hurt alot) – thats just some advice
