so..obivously i’ve been getting different answers, but..just so you know, i’m not a dumb, i’m not planning on wearing BRIGHT BRIGHT red lips with like, neon eye shadow and lots of blush. i’m in 8th grade, i know how to do my makeup, and i know if i do red lips i won’t be able to do bold eyeshadow, or bright blush. i’m smarter than that and i won’t look like a freaking “coloring book”.

Wearing red lip stick to school?
Okay, so I am dressing up for Halloween as a 1950s girl. Like winged eyeliner, bright red lips, and fiftys hair and dress.
But the problem is, I have really big lips, and really fair skin, so I feel like red lips just look a little clowny too me….
But I can’t do like a sheer light red, because it wouldn’t be true to the time, and I am trying to make my costume accurate.
I don’t know what to do. I know its Halloween, but I don’t want to be walking around all day with people staring at me because I look stupid.
One time I wore it on not halloween (a really bright red that time, a little more bright than what I am wearing to school), and I asked this lady for a very honest opinion. She didn’t like it and said it overwhelmed my face because of my big lips, and that when I walked in, all she could look at was the red, and not the rest of my face/outfit. And because of that it was distracting in a not good way.
P.S. I am good at makeups, so the lipstick isn’t messy at all.
I don’t know what to do???

What color lip stick should I wear for prom?
I have dark green eyes, dark brown hair and fair skin. At the grand march, I need to wear a lot of make up because I will look washed out if I don’t (because of the cameras and such) but the problem is that I chose to dress up my eyes rather than my lips. So what color lip stick should I wear so I don’t look over done OR washed out. Thank you 
P.S. My dress is white and my accessories and eye makeup are lavender. And also, my skin will look a shade or two darker than “fair because of my foundation and effort to not look washed out. Thanks again
