Uhm. I’m sure it’s possible. The actual act of breathing (well, metabolizing oxygen in the Krebb’s cycle) causes cancer. But I doubt you will ever find a study that looks at the effects of eating chap stick on cancer rates. Bottom line is, everything causes cancer. But I wouldn’t be worried about potential cancer from the little bit of chapstick/sunscreen/facial moisturizer you accidentally eat everyday. Unless you are eating it on purpose, then I would say cancer shouldn’t be your biggest worry.
