Where can I buy a region free DVD player in California?
I found a documentary by Nick Broomfield in the UK, but the DVD won’t play on my DVD player. So I now need a new DVD player that plays it. I don’t mind ordering one from an online retailer and don’t want to go through eBay or Craigslist. Where can I buy a region free or UK region DVD player for a reasonable price?

Will an analog tv if used as a monitor to play dvds work with a dvd player after going digital in 2009?
And also, will a vcr work? I’m talking about a regular dvd player and without doing anything special. No cable tv. Cause I have tons of dvds and vhs tapes and don’t like regular tv shows.

Hey Sharon,
Don’t worry too much about it.
If you have a TV that works now with your DVD player, it will still work when the off-air stations go all digital. It just won’t be able to pick up and decode those digital off-air stations. There will likely be a few interface boxes that will decode the digital signal and convert it to an analog signal that will be playable on older sets.
No promises that you’ll be able to get a replacement in case of failure.

How do you charge a Venturer portable dvd player?
I have a charger for it but it only plays when the chargers plugged in an outlet and the dvd player.

Hey feb17,
It sounds like there might be a problem with the rechargeable battery – it might be a good idea to take it into an electronics shop and ask them to have a look.

what a dvd player can read if u made a dvd full of tv shows and its subtitles?
well i have been downloading thee tv espisodes (about 22) and some f them r MKV some AVI and i havedownloadedd it’s subtitles and putseparatelyy intodividedd folders.will my DVD player will show any of it and it’s subtitles on tv?
Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:
Hey ,
I think you have to use a right software to combine your subtitle files and espisode video files together, then convert to video dvd format and burn to dvd disc which can be played well on DVD player with subtitle, because most dvd players only recognize video dvd format well, and I used RZ DVD Creator to do that, it can add srt subtitle files on any videos, and can fit/burn many episodes onto a dvd, it can auto fit the size, can convert all episodes with srt subtitle files to video dvd with subtitle, and burn to any dvd disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), easy to use, insert a dvd disc into your computer dvd burner drive, run RZ DVD Creator, select the dvd burner drive as target folder, drag and drop all the episodes into the software, then press “subtitle” button to add the srt subtitle files to the episodes, then press START button, you will get a right video dvd with subtitle, and you can play the burned video dvd well on your dvd players, you could yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Creator, hope it could help you too.
