How long does gold plating on necklaces normally last?

Ive saw this necklace i really like, but i saw its only gold plated, and i asked if they had gold filled, but they didn’t. How long do you think gold plating will last on a rather thick gold chain?? x

Depends on so many factors including frequency of use and your body’s chemistry.
If you take care of it, and it’s from a proper jewelry store, it could last ages. If it wears off you can take it in and have it replated for a small fee.
If it’s from a costume jewelry store I wouldn’t expect great things from it.

Are marines allowed to wear necklaces while in combat during deployment?

are they allowed to wear necklaces besides i know they must always wear their dog tags but are they also allowed to wear another necklace suggesting a cross?
