What digital camera would you suggest me to buy?
Hi! I’m looking for a digital camera…I want to take pictures from a large distance clearly, its colors to be lucid and to perform well if i take pictures at night. What would you suggest me to buy? As regards price don’t worry…Give me your options and i will choose the one that better suits me. Thank you!

Hey Anna s,
I just got a Canon G10 and I love it to bits. It has 5x optical zoom which isn’t huge, but it’s better than most point and shoots. It has a bunch of knobs on top for altering the various ISO, aperture, lighting settings which let you tweak for nighttime shots to get the right exposure.
I was deciding between that and the Canon sx110, which has 10x optical zoom but fewer manual controls, and slower shot-to-shot time.
I had a Sony cybershot recently, trying something other than Canon but I went back to Canon in the end. Can’t beat their lenses (in my price range of <= $ 1000) or the on-camera software.
It's hard to give more advice without knowing how hardcore you want your camera to be. Point and shoot? DSLR? Try http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-camera-buying-guide/ to get a feel for what you want

What digital camera under (or around) 0 will give me the best photo quality?
I would rather have better quality than a bunch of features. Any suggestions? I’m not looking to spend a bunch of money on a DSLR so don’t answer with one.

Hey hardrockr1010,
Ultimately, if all you care about is clarity and detail in your images, you’re looking for megapixels (anything over 4 megapixels is decent quality, over 8 megapixels is great).
Aside from that, you also have other features you can consider; Zoom range, LCD Display size, Photo editing options (saves time rather than transferring to the computer to edit), etc.
But for photo quality, all you need to look at is megapixels. The more, the better image quality.

What is the difference between a digital camera and Film camera?
Which one do pros use because I want to start taking pictures now. I will be taking a classes and stuff
Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:
Hey Justin,
film camera u put a roll of film in it, take pics, take it to be developed, and then order the pictures,
digital is u take a picture, and it automatically stores it in the camera so u can do whatever u want with it(post it on the internet via usb, take it to be developed, photo shopped, etc…
pros use film, because it tends to be better quality.
but if ur not a photagrapher, id use digital so u can do different things with the pictures.
