It depends on what the plating covers. If it covers hypoallergenic earwires then yes, but it would probably say so on the packaging where it says gold-plated. Most often I’ve found that the plating is over base metal which can contain any number of “impure” metals. Most allergic reactions people have are to those base metal such as zinc and nickel, which are very commonly used components. I’d be leary of them and try to find some that are advertised as plated and hypoallergenic or plated and nickel free or of course just pure 14K.
