Are there any guidelines regarding bringing & using a gameboy & portable dvd player on a flight. Probably not using the dvd player just for transportation but definitely using the gameboy.

I’ve not been on that flight before but i have been on many international flights. To be sure you can ask the carrier company but in my experience you can bring on board electronics and use them during the flight provided:
- they fit on your hand luggage
- they are not harmfull
- they do not transmit radio waves
- they are turned off during take off and landing
- they don’t disturb other passengers.

How can I use my old TV with a DVD player or other accessory?

I have this old TV and I would like to be able to use it to watch movies or play games. The trouble is, I’ve looked all over the TV and there doesn’t appear to be any way to plug anything into it except for the cable hookup. Is there some kind of cord I can buy that will attach this hookup to a DVD player or something? If it helps, the TV is an Emerson model EWT1931.

If you have a VCR, there is a cord that allows you to hook that up to the tv through the cable hookup. I’m not sure what the cord is called, sorry. But most VCR’s have spots on them for AV cables. Depending on what type of VCR you have, there might be room for three sets of AV cables.

Would a DVD box set from the United States play on a Canadian DVD player?

I heard different countries are in different “regions” and that if the dvd does not match the player it won’t play. I ordered a complete season DVD box set from the United States delivered to Canada and I was wondering if it will play?

Its a 50/50 shot. If the DVD is multi region, or zoned for North America for example, then it will play. if its zoned for a US only release and region, then no.

I say try it since you already ordered it, nothing to lose. If it doesnt play. Put it in your computer and use a program like handbrake to rip it, then watch it on your computer, or re-burn it to DVD with your region specs.

My DVD player and my VCR are two seperate pieces. They are not the new ones that are all in one. So, I need to know how to hook up the DVD player and the VCR to the Dish Cable.

Dish receiver to VCR to DVD player to TV. Keep the VCR and DVD players off (they’ll pass the input signal to the output) unless you’re using one of them.

Use the “antenna” input on each, and the “tv” output with the same kind of connector.

Watch all of it on channel 3 (or whatever channel the individual boxes use – most are 3, some are 4 and some can be switched).

Well being able to play sound through your sound system speakers and watching a dvd through that sound system are very different. You will pretty much only be able to play sound through them after you get a power converter ( $ 50-$ 70 at autozone) this will give you power in the form of an outlet in your car and you can just plug the stereo right in. You will have to hook up the speaker wires from all speakers into the home theater headunit. Usually those things have an fm tuner already built in so you will be able to play sound right there.
