Is my earring real gold? Jewelry Question.?
So I was digging through a box of old things around my house and I came across this odd little earring that is gold in color and appears to have little “diamonds” set into it in a row.
On the earring, there is a marking that says SLG 14k. Does anyone know what that means? There is a place in town that buys old gold and silver jewelry, and since money is always good, I would love it if anyone here knew whether or not my earring was real gold.
From my standpoint, the earring looks very real, but I’m no jeweller.
There was only one earring and I don’t wear gold jewelry anyway.
I’ve googled “SLG 14k” with no results.

SLG is the manufacturer, 14K means 14K gold (58.3 % of your earring is solid gold). Depending on the weight of the earring, you will be paid for the gold value. The markings don’t say anything about the stones, they could be anything. A jeweler will be able to test them. If they are super small, they won’t count much towards the value of the whole piece. If the earring is little as you say, you won’t get much money for it.

My cartliage earring isnt gold?
i just got my cartliage pierced and realised that unlike my earlobe earring, it isn’t gold. I remember being told before my first piercing that the stud that i use for piercing has to be gold, do the same rules apple for my cartliage? Its like a dark grey colour, no clue what material but most stores were only piercing cartliages with this material. Also, i thought i had some cleaning liquid left but it turns out my mum threw it out, i washed it thuroughly in the shower and did the twist and pull motion but only with warm water and some shampoo, do you think itll be okay untill tomorrow? Can you recreate/remake a 14K Gold Hoop Style Earring?
My mother bought me a pair of Italian mde 14K Gold Hoop earrings for my 21st birthday. I did not lose one of the earrings it was actually stolen from me. I guess the thief could not find the other earring quick enough in my purse because I still have the left earring.
These earrings mean a lot to me besides being fabulous (my mother has beautiful taste in jewelry), I wore them almost everyday and when I am performing with the dance company I work with. They are not normal hoops, they have a rectangular/box/parallel shap to them. The gold looks like it is very high shine.
I am located in the Chicago, IL area but if you think that you could help me I would be wiling to work possibly long distance. I have pictures of the remainging earring that I can send to anyone that may be able to help me. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
