I got an ‘eversion’ ankle sprain from wearing high heels? How long will it take to heal?
I can’t walk now due to the pain, and the only way I can go from one place to another is if I hop. Is it serious? What do I do to minimize pain and speed up the healing process

Hi.
If you got a true eversion sprain, where your ankle/ foot comes into your body line then that can cause damage to the ligaments and tendons of the ankle. They have very little blood supply so they tend to heal very slowly. If you are not doing anything about it then it takes longer to heal and because you will still use your ankle at some point then it irritates the area even more. If they snapped it could be surgical.
Take normal painkillers, rest as much as you can and put a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel onto the area for 10 mins max to calm down the area.
Go to a Physio, get it strapped properly (don’t search online to do it yourself as you can make the problem much worse).
If you hop you are going to injure the other foot because now your are placing all your weight onto one foot and pounding it into the ground. Crutches?
