How to get my 12 week old interested in the teething ring?

I asked a question earlier in the week and everyone advised me that my baby is probably starting to teeth. I would like for her to chew on a teether instead of her hand. Shes just starting to discover toys but wont hold the teether. She will only grasp things if i put them in her hand.How can i work on getting her interested in the teether and to get her to chew on that?

I guess just try putting it in her mouth so maybe she can realize where it goes. But once she starts teething you might just have to put it in her mouth yourself because of her age. So I know that if a ring is a field or division ring it must have exactly two ideals. But I’m looking for a proof of the other direction in the statement.

Let R be a ring with multiplicative identity. If R has exactly two ideals I would like to prove that R is a division ring.

let u be any nonzero element of R. By hypothesis, there are no proper nontrivial ideals so (u) = ideal generated by u = R. So 1 is in (u) (since R is a ring with 1). Therefore there is some v in R s.t. 1=vu. Similarly, by considering (v) we see that there is some u’ in R s.t. 1 = u’v. Now

u’ = u’(1) = u’(vu) = (u’v)u = 1u = u

So any nonzero element of R has an inverse => R is a division ring ^^
