What is the best way to sell a custom made engagement ring set?
Broke off my engagement awhile ago and now I really the cash bad. Since it is custom made I am thinking I will need to get it appraised first to show the quality of diamonds and its worth. Not sure a good place to do this … and then after I get it appraised how should I go about selling it? Any websites? I really have no clue.
Thanks is advance.

Hey Jesse,
Many times, jewelers will buy jewelry. Take it to the jeweler from which you purchased it and see if they want to buy it. Often times, they will provide appraisals for free. Make sure you take it to a reputable jeweler for the appraisal, though. Shady shops have been known to switch gemstones or “lose” jewelry altogether.
If the jewelers won’t buy it, look for consignment or auction houses in your area. They will usually charge you a small fee if it’s sold on consignment, as this is their profit for selling your item. An auction house will sell it for you, and may also charge a portion of the profit. When all else fails, try Craig’s list and good ‘ole eBay.

What does it mean when your fiancee returns you the engagement ring?
Mi fiancee and GF for 7+ years were supposed to get married in 2 months. We had a huge fight and, in my anger, I told her that I don’t want to marry her, and then I left the house. When I came back, I found the engagement ring on the table. This is very confusing. Does this means that we are officially disengaged? Has some of you gone trough something like this? What should I do?

Hey ,
She’s broken off the engagement. Do some serious grovelling and she might take you back.

Is a body jewellery ring too small for a cartliage piercing?
I have the normal stud, that you first get pierced with.
I tried putting a body jewelery ring through it but it wont fit round the top of my ear to get it through.
What size is needed?
Based on emails, here’s our Top Ten Answers for you:
Hey P,
Usually the starter stud for a Helix is a 22g. Body Jewelry is a 14g. You can gauge your helix (it’s quite painful though, I have tried) but the easiest thing is to just get a ring or stud in a size 22g. You can get these at any store ranging from Hot Topic to Claire’s. They’re the basic earring size.
