Hi! A few years ago we bought a surround system that includes a dvd player. I want to buy my husband a blu-ray player for Christmas, but can we hook that up to our old dvd player to still use the surrround sound? I hope this makes sense…

How to burn a dvd that will play on a dvd player using Nero 8.?
I am trying to burn some video’s that are already on my computer in .avi, mpeg, and xvid formats so that they will play on a dvd player. I have already tried to burn a few, they just wont play on my dvd player. Detailed help would be so helpful.

use winavi to convert them first then,start nero burning rom, not the wizard, should be 2 windows that pop up , top left should be on cd, click down the drop box and click on dvd, then click dvd video, then click new, after that you should be in main nero with two folders audio_ts and video_ts, all files from your dvd vobs ect need to go into video_ts the red folder, then just click burn!! normally about 4-6 x speed for good results

How do I connect my dvd player to reciever and tv?
I am trying to connect the dvd player to tv so i have the option of using the receiver for sound or just the tv speakers. Any help or links to sites explaining would be appreciated. The manual for the receiver was little help. Sony receiver.
I am looking for specifics. Like hook the input of dvd to output of whatever. Not sure what to connect to what.
