How do you make a Oriton DVD player work?

So me and my friend realllllllllyyyyyyy wanna watch this movie but it always says ‘bad disk’ its not really the disk though. its the dvd player. how do we fix it? pleasseee help!

I had one of those. Notice I said “had”, not “have”.
I copy a LOT of movies, and it was worthless, even though my copies played on nearly every other player. Also, if I remember, it only accepted DVD-R, not DVD+R. But I’m guessing that you have a commercial DVD-ROM, a regular movie DVD. Yes, I even had problems with those on that piece of junk. Too cheap and junky. To be honest, it would work for regular movies more often than not, but just barely. And that’s no good.

Sorry, no help. You just can’t fix junk. It’s built that way and it should die that way. Enjoy the satisfying splatter as you pump a shotgun round into it.

How do you burn a DVD movie file to a blank DVD to play on DVD player?

I converted a AVI to .VOB which then resulted into a “DVD movie file”.

What format does a video have to be in to play in a dvd player?

I use American dvd players. I currently have my files as .vob’s. Someone told me they needed to be .iso’s but I can’t figure out how to do that and another site said .vob’s would work just fine. Can someone please help?
The program I have been using is the free Video to DVD converter, but it still gives me these results.

The files are indeed vob’s, but having a collection of vob files is not enough. DVD discs needs also an index file otherwise the player does not know how to navigate through the files.

Long story, short, you need to record in DVD-video format.

Is it illegal for someone in the passenger seat to watch a portable DVD player?

My wife enjoys watching her portable DVD player and I was wondering if I could get pulled over for her having it in the passenger’s seat. I know the regulations probably vary from state to state, but any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Have it mounted such that it cannot be seen by the driver. Then it’s no different than being in the back seat. The driver can be distracted by the sound in either case, but not if ear phones are used.
