How do I add auxillary speakers to use the DVD player connected to my TV to listen to music CDs?
The built in speakers are lame. My TV has 2 audio out jacks. What type of speakers would work best? And how do I hook them up? I also would use these speakers when watching a DVD movie. The DVD player also has a pair of unused audio out jacks as I connect to TV with HDMI. Could I connect the speakers to the DVD player?

How do i get the progressive scan on my dvd player off?
I have Sony HT-V700DP surround sound system and dvd/vcr. Some how the progressive scan got turned on and now i can’t watch any thing on the dvd side because i have no screen only sound. I can’t find the owners manual and now i’m asking for help.

There are three ways that DVD players use to enable progressive scan:
1) Remote
2) Switch in the back of the DVD player
3) DVD setup menu
Typically, when you have progressive on a non-progressive TV, you will see a double image. No image typically means there is an issue with the cable. Either the cable is broken or disconnected.
