How do you remove a diamond from a tungsten carbide ring?
It is a wedding band with a diamond in it… there are no prongs just a hole all the way through the band with the diamond set in the whole… is there some method to remove it or do you have to break the ring to get it out?

since the ring portion is worthless, I would recommend cutting the ring on both sides of the hole. (you wont be able to bend it)
Who ever gave this ring must have been an engineer…..
use a diamond saw (lapidary)..most jewelry repair can dot this work.

What are you supposed to use to clean a septum ring?
What are you supposed to use to clean a septum ring? I got mine pierced about 3 weeks ago and it’s still a little sore. i’ve been using dial soap and water but someone told me that salt water works better. my piercer doesn’t live around here and he didn’t tell me any methods to clean it. anyone know?

Dear Angie:I don’t have a septum ring but I do have a nasal piercing.When I got mine done I was told by the lady who pierced it to swab the whole area of piercing both inside and out with a Q-tip soaked in Bactine and to clean my nose posts with a cotton ball soaked in Isopropyl alcohol. Until its healed stick with the Bactine, my piercer told me not to use soap becuase it can build up , irritate, and slow the healing. Different people heal at different rates, so I continued with this regiman twice a day for six to eight weeks. I take out my piercing when I bathe, then before I put it back in I wipe it well with the cotton ball soaked in the isopropyl alcohol, then reinsert it. I imagine the septum ring would take similar treatment except maybe you should rotate it regularly as well.Good luck!
